Sir David Omand appointed NHM trustee
Sir David Omand has been appointed a Trustee to the Board of the UK's Natural History Museum for a four-year term.
Sir David is currently a Visiting Professor at the War Studies Department of Kings College London and was formerly a Permanent Secretary of the Home Office.
“The museum plays an important role in helping the public understand life sciences, especially young people, who will become scientific leaders of the future,” said Sir David.
“I’ll use my expertise to help the museum develop a more informed parliamentary and public understanding of the importance of its work.”
