Six Flags reports Q2 revenue growth
US-based theme park operator Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has posted a 5 per cent growth in revenue for the second quarter of 2011, compared with the same period last year.
Higher admissions revenues, increasing guest spending and lower cash operating costs have contributed towards the growth, with Q2 revenues reaching US$339m (£208m). Meanwhile, figures for the first half of the year have seen revenues increase by 6 per cent to US$400m (£245.4m), while adjusted EBITDA was up by 86 per cent.
Six Flags chair, president and CEO Jim Reid-Anderson said: "We registered record guest satisfaction scores in the quarter and delivered improvements in all key financial metrics including revenue, profitability and cash flow."
