Six Senses Sharq Village Doha launches
A 70,000sq ft (6,500sq m) spa has launched at the Sharq Village and Spa in Doha, Qatar.
Located as a centrepiece of the 174 bedroom and suite property on the waterfront, the new Six Senses spa has been designed to reflect a traditional Qatari environment and give the impression of a true Middle Eastern village.
The spa features winding lanes instead of corridors with its total of 23 treatment rooms resembling four typical village houses, instead of areas.
The main areas of the spa include saunas, steamrooms, whirlpools, plunge pools and dedicated areas for yoga, meditation, t’ai chi and other eastern practices, as well as relaxation and prayer rooms.
Women will also be offered a private entrance and reception as well as a club facility.
The Sharq Resort & Spa is managed by the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. The hotel features 14 individual courtyard houses and covers 3,281sq ft (1,000sq m) of private coastline.
