Snow collapses Minneapolis Metrodome roof
The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission in Minneapolis, US, has confirmed that snowfall caused the inflatable roof on the city's Metrodome to deflate.
Birdair, the company which manufactured and installed the roof, has already carried out an inspection of the structure to determine how long repair work will take. American Football team Minnesota Vikings was forced to move its fixture with New York Giants to Ford Field, Detroit following the incident.
The Vikings are currently eyeing up the development of a new venue, but have been so far unable to secure the necessary funding.
