South Wales leisure centres set for revamp
Llantrisant and Hawthorn Leisure Centres in South Wales are to undergo refurbishments as part of a Rhondda Cynon Taf Council (RCTC)-led investment.
A lounge bar at Hawthorn Leisure Centre is to be transformed into a modernised area, which will continue in its existing role but also host leisure classes and conferences. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old squash courts at Llantrisant Leisure Centre will be enhanced in a bid to cater for increased demand and a higher standard of user.
RCTC cabinet member for culture, recreation and tourism Robert Bevan said: "These refurbishments further show the council's ongoing commitment to provide residents with the best possible facilities that the current budget will allow.
