Southampton Solent recognised by REPs
Southampton Solent University has been given technical approval to offer degrees endorsed by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
All students on the university’s BA (Hons) health and fitness management and fitness and personal training courses will be admitted onto the register after completing their first two years of study.
The university is only the fifth in the country to be recognised by REPs and will be investing £70,000 to upgrade its teaching facility, which will include 13 pieces of cardiovascular equipment and 13 resistance machines.
The gym is expected to be completed by December.
