Southwark's 'Apart-Hotel' given go-ahead
A new 137-room 'Apart-Hotel', to be built on Tower Bridge Road in London, has been granted planning permission by Southwark Council.
Designed by Weston Williamson, on behalf of developer Sunlight Projects, guests and residents will be able to check in to a fully-fitted apartment and have use of usual hotel services such as a concierge desk and room servicing. Sunlight Projects created the idea as a competitive alternative to conventional hotels and is expected to be particularly popular with professionals working contracts for an undetermined length.
The scheme also includes a ground floor space for commercial use.
