Spa hotel opens In Kaprun
A privately-owned four-star spa hotel - Tauern Spa World - has opened in the Alpine resort town of Kaprun, Zeel-am-See in Austria.
The construction of the €83m (US$114m, £71m) spa resort has taken more than two years.
The resort has 160 bedrooms and suites and is centred on the large Spa World concept, which occupies more than 500,000sq ft (48,000sq m) in and around the resort.
Spa facilities include 17 large treatment rooms, huge indoor and outdoor swimming pools, children's pools, a brine pool, a herbal bath, relaxation zone and 11 different types of saunas in the "sauna world" - including Finnish saunas, an oven-sauna, a herbal summersauna and a bio sauna.
The spa’s treatments are based on a holistic approach and include massages and aromatherapy.
Other amenities at the resort include a health and fitness club, a small children’s waterpark, five restaurants, bars and a golf course.
