Spa opens at Colorado Four Seasons
A new 14,395sq ft spa has opened at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail in Vail Village, Colorado.
The new spa boasts 13 treatment rooms, including two couples' suites, which boast a private whirlpool, a fireplace and an outdoor terrace. Locker rooms feature a sauna and eucalyptus steamroom.
The Spa at Four Seasons offers facial and body treatments, and two signature treatments: the Spirit of the Rockies body treatment and the Earth, Wind and Sky Ritual. The Spirit of the Rockies treatment uses local mountain mud for the body mask, hot stone massage using stones from the Eagle County River, and hot steam compresses inspired by local vapour caves.
The Earth, Wind and Sky Ritual is a full body massage with a focus on a unique cranial massage and foot therapy. First, feet are wrapped in warm towels infused with essential oils of pine and juniper. Then, a cranial and full-body massage aims to promote "total relaxation and a sense of wellbeing".
For ski guests - the resort is located in the Rocky Mountains - there are treatments including the Skier's Massage, which incorporates salt scrub, a massage using birch and arnica oils, a steam infusion and a scalp massage.
Spa director Craig Newton said: "The Spa at Four Seasons is truly a sumptuous mountain retreat. It's a beautifully-designed space with a full-range of treatment options that offer something for everyone, with a majority tailored to the local environment."
The spa also features a 2,185sq ft fitness suite, equipped with Technogym gear, which boasts a 75ft swimming pool.
