Spectrum gains top marks
Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex has received the highest marks ever given by Quest, the leisure industry quality assessment scheme.
The complex was assessed on all aspects of its management, operations and customer service and its score of 87 per cent put it way above the average score of 67 per cent and the only leisure centre in the ‘Excellent’ category.
These top marks reflect Spectrum’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
Its last assessment in 2003 also earned it the top spot among the 489 other leisure centres assessed by the scheme, with a score of 85 per cent.
Since then, Spectrum has made several improvements and developments such as a changing room refurbishment and an energy efficiency combined heat and power unit.
Spectrum manager Peter Gunn said: “This achievement is the combined result of strong teamwork and a shared vision for success.”
