LA Fitness is to launch a speed dating service at its 65 clubs in a in a bid to meet the growing demands of its single members.

A survey by the health and fitness operator found that 63 per cent of its members believed they could potentially meet a partner in the gym.

The initiative will kick off with LA Flirt Day on 12 August with four speed dating events in North London, the West End, Birmingham and London.

“Health clubs have always been a great place to meet people,” says marketing manager, Helen Bryden. “We are just making it even easier for our members and their friends to meet like-minded people.”
