Sport.Cardiff unveils new volunteer resource
Sport.Cardiff has launched its new online resource, the Volunteer Sports Bureau (VSB) in order to allow residents across the city to access and register for volunteering opportunities.
Registering with the VSB will keep volunteers updated with new events and ways in which to participate, as well as offering a personal profiles to log the hours they have completed.
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to learn how to become an 'Ambassador' during the 2012 Games, which will include welcoming spectators and athletes to Cardiff.
Cardiff Council executive member for sport, leisure and culture Nigel Howells said: "This new service will improve the way we manage our sports schemes, keeping volunteers informed of all the latest opportunities."
