Sportech posts encouraging first half results
Gaming group Sportech has announced increases in both pre-tax profits and turnover for the first half of 2004.
Turnover for the six-month period to 30 June was £254.5m, up from £157.8m the year before while pre-tax profits increased by 7 per cent to £5.9m.
Sportech, which owns the Littlewoods Football Pools, said it had experienced a 170 per cent boost in its gross gaming win on its internet casino operations.
