Sports campus planned for City of Westfield
A new 300-acre (121.4-hectare) multi-sport development is to be built in Westfield, Indiana, US, under plans announced by the local authority.
Westfield mayor Andy Cook has also confirmed that youth baseball organisation, the LIDS Indiana Bulls, will use the Grand Park Sports Campus as its new home. Plans for the site include championship-level facilities for baseball and softball (26 outdoor fields) and 32 soccer, lacrosse, football and rugby pitches.
Dining, retail and entertainment venues are also proposed. Work is due to start later this year, with a scheduled completion date in time for the late 2012 season.
