Sutton Arena Leisure Centre, a £4.8m indoor athletic centre and leisure complex serving top-level athletes as well as the local community, opens this March.

The result of a partnership between the London Borough of Sutton, Sport England, UK Athletics, Single Regeneration Partnership, the London Marathon Charitable Trust and the Friends of Sutton Arena, the complex is the first of three regional athletics centres planned as part of the UK Athletics Facility Strategy and will host international athletes from south London and Surrey.

Funded by a Sport England grant of £3.8m, the scheme includes a 60m track, a sports hall, gym, dance studio and football pitches. Details: +44 (0)20 8770 5131
