St. Brelade’s Bay hotel sold
Jayne Best, daughter of leisure entrepreneur Dave Whelan, has acquired the St. Brelade's Bay Hotel on the island of Jersey.
The four-star hotel changed hands in a deal believed to be worth around £12m.
Best, who acquired the hotel from the Frost family, said: "We have extensive plans for the hotel and will invest substantially to create a fitness and leisure centre for the Island."
The hotel has 74 en-suite bedrooms and five penthouse suites, two swimming pools, a restaurant, gym, changing rooms and a children's play area. It also has substantial staff accommodation incorporating 52 rooms and a manager's house contained within the grounds.
