Star Trac nets Evesham Leisure Centre deal
Star Trac has secured an agreement to supply spinning equipment for the new £11m Evesham Leisure Centre in Worcestershire, which is scheduled to open to the public on 7 September.
Facilities at the 4,500sq m (48,438sq ft) complex will include two exercise studios, one of which has been equipped with 13 Star Trac NXT Spinning Bikes and will offer group cycling classes, as well as a four-court sports hall. Rivers Fitness Room will accommodate more than 100 workstations at the new centre, which will also boast a 25m, five-lane swimming pool and a studio pool with moveable floor to change the depth of the water to accommodate aqua aerobics.
Health suite facilities will include a spa pool, a sauna and a steamroom, and a beauty salon offering a range of treatments. The leisure centre will be operated by Wychavon Leisure on behalf of Wychavon District Council.
