Starwood to open Four Points in Ethiopia
Starwood Hotels & Resorts will open a Four Points by Sheraton in Ethiopia. Developed by Alemgenet Trade & Industries, the new-build Four Points by Sheraton Addis Ababa, Meskel Square, is Starwood’s first new hotel in the country since its Sheraton Addis Ababa in 1998.
The hotel will feature an extensive spa, though further spa details are not yet available, as well as 450-bedrooms, a fitness centre, outdoor pool and several food and beverage options.
“The entry of Four Points to Ethiopia, one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies, is a significant addition to our rapidly expanding portfolio in the region,” said Michael Wale, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East.
“As home to Africa’s largest airline, Addis Ababa is a key hotel market and an ideal city for a brand that serves the modern, everyday traveller.”
