Starwood moves into Paraguay
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in the Paraguayan capital, Asunción.
The new-build hotel has 100 bedrooms and aims to target both the regional corporate market and international business travellers.
Facilities at the Sheraton Asunción include a 60-cover restaurant, a rooftop pool, a gym, spa, a beauty salon and business centre with 16,000sq ft of meeting space, accommodating up to 2,000 delegates.
The property, which opened on 31 August, is a management agreement between Starwood and local investment company, Emprendimientos Hoteleros.
