Starwood opens 150th Asia Pacific hotel
Starwood Hotels and Resorts has opened its 150th hotel in the Asia Pacific region with the ITC Royal Gardenia in Bengaluru, India.
The 292-bedroom hotel, which is owned by ITC, is part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection and boasts an outdoor pool, tropical gardens, five restaurants and lounges, a business centre and a signature spa.
Miguel Ko, chair and president of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, said: “We are excited to open our 150th Starwood hotel in Asia Pacific with the debut of ITC Royal Gardenia, underscoring our long-term strategic growth plans in Asia Pacific.
“We are also honoured to continue our partnership with ITC, opening our eighth Luxury Collection hotel in India. India has our largest footprint of Luxury Collection hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific and this new addition is a demonstration of our commitment to continue to grow the brand in a destination that is so rich in history, culture, colours and flavours.”
