Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has teamed up with executive and professional development training provider eCornell to deliver online courses to its staff.

Under the four-year agreement, employees at more than 740 owned, managed and franchised Starwood properties will be able to take courses in hospitality management, essential management skills, strategic management and human resource management.

Mariangela Battista, Starwood’s director of organisational capability, said the company chose eCornell because of its instructor-led online format, which was essential for a ‘geographically dispersed global organisation’ such as Starwood.
