First new-build Sheraton in Dubai for more than 30 years launches
The first new-build for Starwood’s Sheraton brand for more than 30 years has launched as part of a three-tower mixed-use complex – developed by Abdulsalam Al Rafi Group.
Features of the 54-storey tower Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai include 416 bedrooms, 58 suites, 180 serviced apartments, a business centre, rooftop swimming pool, three restaurants and a signature Shine Spa.
The 1,000sq m (10,764sq ft) Shine Spa occupies the 52nd floor of the property, comprising nine gender-separate treatment rooms and a couples’ suite. There is also a steamroom, sauna, ice fountain, indoor vitality pool and a relaxation area that overlooks Dubai’s landmarks.
“The Sheraton Grand Hotel Dubai highlights our commitment to the region and to our development pipeline as we strive to grow our portfolio by 75 per cent in the Middle East by 2017,” said Michael Wale, president of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
