Stein to open seventh site
Spanish luxury hotel operator, The Stein Group, is to open its seventh property in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam.
The 40-room TheCollegeHotel will be the company’s second site in the city and is due to open during March.
Originally built in 1895, the former school building is now a listed property and hotel facilities include a 65-cover restaurant, three meeting rooms, a private dining room and a conference lounge for 200 people.
TheCollegeHotel will also provide local hospitality students with a unique opportunity to mix their studies with first hand business experience.
Students of the Amsterdam school of Hotel Management, the Bakery and Pastry school and the School for Tourism will work alongside the staff of TheCollegeHotel.
They will be able to hone their skills in a number of positions, including as chefs, waiters, receptionists and assistant managers.
Located close to Amsterdam’s museum square, the hotel will offer in-room spa amenities, which include a range of massages and the services of a personal trainer.
Stein operates seven hotels across the Europe; the Gran Hotel Son Net, Mallorca; Durley House, London; The Dylan, Amsterdam; Gran Hotel La Florida, Barcelona; Château Eza, at the village of Eze in France and Brownes Hotel, Ireland.
It is also constructing the Gran Hotel Miramar in Barcelona, which is set to open in autumn 2005.
