Steve Philpott appointed non-exec chair of Mosaic Spa and Health Clubs
Former Places for People Leisure CEO Steve Philpott has taken up a position as non-executive chair of Mosaic Spa and Health Clubs.
Having recently retired from Places for People Leisure after 11 years at the helm, Philpott will help hotel health club and day spa operator Mosaic to devise growth strategy and assist the senior executive team.
Mosaic owns the Fitness Express and Imagine Spa brands and this will be a return to the business for Philpott, who oversaw the acquisition of Fitness Express in 2001, when he was CEO of Crown Sports.
“This is an excellent business that I have always admired and that has a great reputation in the industry for providing good customer service and career progression for its staff team,” said Philpott.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Board and Downing Corporate Finance team, who provide venture capital trust funding to Mosaic Spa and Health Clubs, on executing the business plan.”
