Stockport Sports Trust, in partnership with Stockport Council, has opened a brand new fitness facility at Houldsworth Village in Reddish.

Located in the heart of Reddish the centre provides first class fitness to residents with something for all ages and abilities.

Target Fitness+ Houldsworth Village houses a state of the art fitness suite, a dedicated spinning studio, large aerobics studio and four fantastic 5 a-side indoor football pitches, the first football facility of its kind in Stockport. State of the art changing facilities are also provided.

The centre has attracted a large amount of public interest with numerous community groups making great use of the football facilities. A number of tournaments, including girls' events, have been staged at the facility. Weekly leagues are also popular and next month shall see the addition of lunchtime football leagues.

Martin Harriman, Operations Manager at Stockport Sports Trust, said: "This has been a really exciting project for the trust as it is the first brand new facility that has been opened since the trust's inception in 2002.

"The investment is in line with the trust's mission of providing a best value service in sport, health and leisure and also in offering modern fitness facilities through reinvestment in sport."
