Summer opening for Chelsea FC museum
Chelsea Football Club (CFC) is to launch a new museum behind the Matthew Harding Stand at its Stamford Bridge ground in London this summer.
The 670sq m (7,212sq ft) attraction will enable visitors to embark an interactive exploration of the Premier League club's history through audio visual displays. An extensive collection of memorabilia and iconic images will be on show at the museum, as well as the adidas Shooting Gallery offering a tutorial on goal scoring techniques.
Mather and Co are working on the new attraction, which is being launched in conjunction with a new club retail space and an updated stadium tour route. The tours will be managed using Time Pursuit, a real-time booking, ticketing and customer management system supplied by Open Frontiers.
CFC stadium tour and museums manager Sarah Bagg said: "The new museum draws on innovative technology to create one of the most state-of-the-art attractions open to football and sports fans."
