Sustainable recognition for Exmoor
Exmoor National Park Authority has become only the second English park authority to have been awarded the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.
Awarded by the Europarc Federation, the accolade aims to raise the profile of parks as areas devoted to sustainable tourism and give the recipients greater credibility with potential funding partners.
Wilf Fenten, Europarc managing director, said: “The committee was impressed by the Exmoor National Park Authority’s achievements and its many sustainable tourism initiatives.”
