Swansea's Cwmdonkin Park to undergo £1.39m refurbishment
Swansea Council has announced that the city's Cwmdonkin Park, which acted as a source of inspiration to poet Dylan Thomas, is to undergo a £1.39m refurbishment.
Andrew Scott Construction and Civil Engineering will deliver the scheme, with work to be completed later this year and ahead of the 100th anniversary of the poet's birth in 2014.
The renovation is to include an upgrade of the park's pavilion, a new-look Dylan Thomas shelter and a central seating area featuring engravings of Thomas' work.
