Swissotel Turkey ready to open
A new hotel and spa in Izmir, Turkey, is ready to launch following a US$60m (43.4m euro, £29m) refurbishment.
Previously called The Grand Hotel Efes, and first opened in 1964, the new hotel will be launched as the Swissotel Grand Efes.
The hotel has a spacious 37,700sq ft (3,500sq m) Amrita Spa centre which includes swimming pools, treatment rooms, an ice room and traditional Turkish baths.
The 406-bedroom property is located in the heart of the city’s commercial hub.
