Sydney Wildlife World recognised in Australian Tourism Awards
Sydney Wildlife World, in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia, has won the award for best family-focused tourism in the Australian’s 2007 Travel & Tourism Awards.
The 7,000sqm attraction, which opened adjacent to Sydney Aquarium a year ago, allows visitors to experience the country’s wildlife exhibited in a range of Australian habitats.
“It’s tremendous that after one year of opening, Sydney Wildlife World has become a world-class attraction,” said Sydney Attractions Group CEO, Kevin Bush.
“In just 14 months we’ve shown that we’re a constantly evolving attraction, opening four new interactive habitats and introducing live animal shows and feedings,” he added.
“We’ve all worked really hard to create an attraction that provides a hands-on experience with Australia’s most remarkable animals so that kids and adults alike can really appreciate and learn more about what’s in our backyard.”
