TRX awarded Liverpool FC supplier deal
TRX, the fitness training company, has been appointed by Liverpool Football Club (LFC) to provide playing squad and staff with its Suspension Trainer resistance system.
The system - comprising nylon-webbed straps, handles and anchors that can be attached to a secure anchor point - will enable LFC players to train movements performed on the pitch. Specialists from TRX have worked alongside the Premier League club to establish a specific training programme that will help sustain fitness levels throughout the season.
LFC head of fitness and conditioning Darren Burgess said: "The TRX gives players a full body workout and provides dynamic exercises that are really specific for football. "The functional training element to the TRX allows the players to improve their strength and power in a football-specific manner.
