TUI brings together its Austrian retail and tour operating brands
TUI AG has merged its tourism activities in Austria within the newly formed TUI Austria Holding AG.
TUI Austria Holding AG, with some 570 employees, achieved a turnover of 677 million euros during the 2002 business year with its tour operator brands of TUI, Gulet Touristik, Majic Life, Touropa Austria, 1-2-FLY and Terra Reisen, as well as with its 92 travel agencies. Bookings for the winter season 2003/4 are about two percent up on the previous year.
The company says it will intensify its expansion in Eastern Europe. Starting in 2004, package holidays will be offered to various destinations in the Mediterranean from Bratislava airport in Slovakia and Ljubljana airport in Slovenia. Details: www.tui.com
