Stockport Sports Trust has successfully achieved Quest accreditation for Target Fitness+ Cheadle.

Over the last 12 months the leisure centre has seen upgraded facilities, including new swimming pool changing rooms and a redesigned fitness suite; added a new Heroes Soft Play area; and introduced a range of exercise classes and personal training.

In commending the centre, Quest recognised "that the management has clearly recognised the benefits associated with the continuous improvement philosophy' and 'the programme offered takes into account the needs of the local community and surrounding areas".

The assessors also noted how "well the centre was presented, such as the changing rooms which had recently been refurbished to a very high specification and standard".

Jon Baker, general manager at Target Fitness+ said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive such a high grading at Cheadle.

"All staff have contributed greatly to turning around the facility at Cheadle to one with excellent facilities and first class service. We shall continue to develop the centre for local residents to ensure they enjoy each and every visit."
