TeamBath, part of the University of Bath, has launched a Fitness Academy offering nationally-recognised vocational qualifications for the fitness industry.

Part of TeamBath’s Wellness & Lifestyle team, the academy offers SAQ qualifications suitable for a range of people working in the sports and fitness industries, including sports coaches and managers, teachers, physiotherapists, fitness professionals, strength and conditioning coaches and school sports co-ordinators.

The courses include the SAQ Preliminary Award in Training Fundamental Movement, the Preliminary Award in Training Speed, Agility and Quickness and the SAQ SEN Award in Developing Skills of Children with Movement Difficulties.

Earlier this year, TeamBath launched its first diploma qualification – the TeamBath Diploma in Fitness Excellence.

The diploma offers four nationally-recognised Premier IQ qualifications – the Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing, the Level 2 Certification in Instructing Circuit Sessions, the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training and the Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage.
