Technogym has signed an agreement with Sheffield International Venues (SIV) to fit out the fitness suite of the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in the Steel City.

The 1,250sq m (13,450sq ft) gym – to be located in a former nightspot called The Roundhouse – is part of a £3m revamp of Ponds Forge, which will also include a cardio theatre, a spinning room, two air-conditioned studios with sprung floors, a sauna and steamroom and a relaxation area.

Technogym will provide equipment from the Excite 500 cardiovascular range and the Selection line resistance range for the 130-station fitness suite.
