Tees Valley Leisure put real flare into 10th birthday celebrations
Tees Valley Leisure Limited (TVLL), which runs the leisure centres in Redcar and Cleveland, will be going back to the Seventies on 24 October.
The organisation will be celebrating its 10th birthday with a huge themed party at Redcar Bowl with a Seventies disco and entertainment.
Tees Valley Leisure has 500 free tickets available on a first come, first served basis for its loyal leisure users as a way of saying thank you for their support over the years.
Around three quarters of a million people use their leisure centres in Redcar and Cleveland every year.
Angie McGee, 30, from Skelton, Chair of TVLL and assistant operations manager, who is responsible for driving up attendances, said: "We've been providing quality leisure facilities in our centres for ten years now, and we've built up a great customer base of people who have supported us over the years.
"We're grateful to all our customers for making the most of our facilities, and this is our way of saying thanks. It will be a night to remember - there will be free raffles with great prizes including free gym memberships and it will be a great start to the next successful ten years."
Paddy Corcoran, managing director of Tees Valley Leisure added: "We have just published our annual report which shows that we have enjoyed yet another successful year. We have seen an increase in income from our new leisure activities thanks to all our leisure centre staff who have once again helped us to achieve our targets.
"We have had some great successes over the past few years - our memberships which totaled 620 back in 2005 have seen a massive increase with 3,340 memberships recorded this year.
"And we plan to expand our range of leisure and sports activities even more so that local people can enjoy active and healthy lifestyles now and in the future.
"I would like to thank all those who have helped us to make the past ten years a great success including our sponsors and partners, particularly Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council."
If you would like to apply for a free ticket for a night to remember - tickets are available across all leisure sites at Lofus, Saltburn, Guisborough, Redcar and Eston. You need to go in person to the leisure centre to pick up a maximum of two tickets per customer. Information is available on the Tees Valley leisure website at www.teesvalleyleisure.co.uk
