Thai treatments on offer at Mauritius spa
Thai spa treatments are now on offer on the African island of Mauritius at the newly opened Spa Cenvaree at Centara Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa.
The spa, which opened on 10 December, includes three couple treatment suites - including one with Jacuzzi - two multi sensory single treatment rooms, herbal steam baths, a relaxation lounge, Thai reflexology room and a gym.
A bespoke product range by France's Thémaé utilises black, red, white and green teas combined with spring water for basic hydration to advanced anti aging treatments.
A signature Mauritius massage includes hot sand pouch therapy whereby a pouch filled with heated sand, crushed sesame, grated ginger and warming black pepper is dipped in coconut oil and applied to the body. This is topped off with cooling stones applied to the face.
With 100 rooms, Centara Poste Lafayette overlooks the ocean and is a one-hour drive from Mauritius's international airport.
