Thanet Leisureforce celebrates success
Thanet Leisureforce, which operates leisure facilities on behalf of Thanet District Council, has been recognised with two industry achievements in recent months, a Fitness Industry Association (FIA) award and Quest accreditation.
In September the sport’s trust achieved a 75 per cent Quest score for Ramsgate Sports Centre and then in October, at the FIA’s Commit to Get Fit Awards, Hartsdown Leisure Centre won the award for highest fundraising while Thanet Leisureforce as a whole won the award for innovations during the campaign.
Thanet Leisureforce’s managing director, Peter Hooker, said: “The back to back awards from the Fitness Industry Association and the reward and recognition through Quest for the work, time and effort contributed by our workforce at Ramsgate, endorses the value we place on getting the right people doing the right things.
“It also further endorses and highlights the partnership philosophy we share with our client as we work together to reduce barriers to participation for the local community.”
Hartsdown Leisure Centre is scheduled to be assessed by Quest this month.
