The Furzefield Centre charity car wash
On 29 June, the Furzefield centre in Potters Bar held its annual charity car wash.
Fitness instructors, duty managers and members of the management team washed cars throughout the day raising £250 for Cystic Fibrosis – before a thunderstorm forced them to stop early.
The car wash also marked the launch of the Fitness Industry Association’s (FIA) national Commit To Get Fit! campaign at the Furzefield centre, which is running throughout July.
Commit to Get Fit is a national trial-membership campaign designed to help people improve their lifestyle and well-being by providing advice, support and the opportunity to be more active more often.
The Furzefield Centre is managed by Hertsmere Leisure.
