Boutique hotel group, The Park Hotels, has announced that it is to open a new 280-bedroom property in Hyderabad, India, in July next year.

The group currently operates seven boutique hotels at locations across India, including Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata, with sites at Pune and Jaipur also in the pipeline for future openings. The Hyderabad site will be built around The Veranda, a central space which will act as an extension to the hotel's restaurant and lobby. The ground floor will also include conference halls and art galleries, which will be available to both guests and visitors.

A three-dimensional horizon swimming pool will provide a focal point for the hotel, which will also combine light and water that will help illuminate the hotel's subterranean night-club. The Park, Hyderabad will be the first hotel in India to introduce non-smoking throughout the hotel, while consultants have been appointed to advise on ways to ensure the hotel is energy efficient through measures such as rainwater harvesting.
