The Public secures ACE strategic funding
Arts Council England (ACE) is to invest £200,000 of strategic funding a year between 2012 and 2015 in order to support the visual arts programme at The Public, West Bromwich.
It is anticipated the three-year award will help Sandwell Arts Trust (SAT) plan further ahead and continue to build on successes in attracting more local and regional visitors to the area.
The Public's 2011-12 visual arts programme has been backed by two £100,000 ACE awards through the agency's Grants for the arts funding programme.
ACE West Midlands director Ros Robins said: "Sandwell Arts Trust has been successful in improving the scale and range of work shown at The Public.
"We hope this funding will help the Trust expand that work further, creating the kind of art that will appeal to even more people across Sandwell and the region."
