The Vikings are coming!
A Pictish encampment at Pictavia Visitor Centre comes under attack this summer when they are invaded by marauding Vikings on 28th and 29th July.
Visitors will be invited to experience living history in the Pictish village and see the way our ancestors lived in these parts more than a thousand years ago, and cheer them on when the vicious Vikings attack.
A programme of skirmishes, weapons demonstrations, and lots of friendly encounters is planned. Find out what they're cooking over their open fire and watch the forge at work. On Sunday there will also be a falconry display by Elite Falconry.
Entry includes a free visit to Pictavia Visitor Centre, Pictish Face Painting and Art Attack, Dragons Lair play area with exciting new equipment, miniature railway, lake and wetland area, and model farm with walks of up to 3km around the animal paddocks and through the farm steading, plus static display of vintage farm implements.
Adults: £3.00, Children / OAP: £1.50, Family (2 adults, 2 children or 1 + 3): £7.50
