The BHA in association with Nestle Professional are preparing to welcome back their prestigious annual golf event, the Bessborough Trophy for September.

Following the success of last year's contest at Wentworth, this year's Trophy will be contested in the truly wonderful settings of Bearwood Lakes Golf Club on Monday 7 September 2009. This is a prime opportunity to test your handicap, a great occasion to network and all whilst raising money for our nominated industry charities Springboard and Hospitality Action.

Just a few team places remain for this fantastic event and a teams of four cost £995 (+ VAT) to include brunch, green fees, presentation dinner, refreshments and a gifts for each team member. Individual places are also available only for BHA members and their guests at just £250 + VAT. The Bessborough Trophy, first played for in 1931 was donated by the Earl of Bessborough to the then Hotels and Restaurants Association of Great Britain. That competition was won by Mr J.G.R Orchard of the Royal Clarence Hotel, Exeter. Last year a team from the Grosvenor House took the coveted title, so some Seventy-eight years later, as we make our way over to Berkshire's Bearwood Lakes - will it be your name on the trophy?

This wonderful course is set in over 200 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside and was once referred to as 'The Hidden gem of Berkshire'. It opened in 1996 and has quickly become a golfing haven and through the Bessborough Trophy we offer you a rare opportunity to compete in an exclusive day at this fantastic member's course, and one that is listed in the top 100 golf courses of the UK.
