Theme park planned for Hunan province
Shenzhen-based developer Huaqiaocheng Group is planning to build and manage a a large theme park complex in central China’s Hunan province.
The park will cover 500 hectares and according to local media will cost somewhere between ¥4.5bn (US$659m, €450m, £413m) and ¥15bn (US$2.2bn, €1.50bn, £1.37bn) to build.
Plans include two amusement parks and a range of resources for the country’s creative industries – including cartoon and film studios and television post-production facilities.
