Ravens Wood School in Bromley now boasts a 107m x 66m third generation synthetic grass pitch installed by Thornton Sport.

As the pitch is primarily used for rugby and football, the school selected Rugby Pro M as their preferred surface. This particular Thornton Sports surface has achieved IRB Regulation 22 (International Rugby Board) and IATS (International Artificial Turf Standard) performance standards, and its long pile height makes it ideal for rugby.

Rhys Spiers, Head of Enrichment at Ravens Wood School said: "The new 3G all-weather surface has made a hugely positive impact on the experience that our students gain through physical education at the school. "We have found the quality of the surface to be excellent and well suited to a number of physical activities including football and full contact Rugby Union."

Ravens Wood School's rugby team recently made it to the final of the Daily Mail RBS U18 Vase at Twickenham Stadium. To show their support, Thornton Sports sponsored the team with rugby shirts in the school colours of green and black and with the Thornton Sports logo in prime position on the front.
