Hampton Hotels, a division of the Hilton Worldwide group, has opened three new hotels in the UK.

Located in Birmingham; Braintree, Essex and Shrewsbury, Shropshire, the converted properties are owned by Osborn Securities and managed by Hilton Worldwide. The move increases the UK Hampton by Hilton estate to five - with the three new openings joining existing Hampton hotels in Corby, Northamptonshire and at Liverpool's John Lennon airport - creating more than 500 additional rooms.

The first of the three to open - on 16 March - was the 90-room Hampton by Hilton Birmingham Star City, about two miles from the city centre and surrounded by the entertainment complex of the same name. The 75-room Hampton by Hilton Shrewsbury opened on 18 March 18 and is located on the outskirts of the town in the newly developed Shrewsbury Business Park. The Hampton by Hilton Braintree opened on 23 March, offers 76 rooms and is five minutes from the Freeport Designer Outlet Village and ten from Stansted Airport.

All three sites offer free high-speed internet access, a fitness centre and meeting space, with other guest amenities including a 24-hour snack area featuring light entrees and sandwiches and a bar area along with evening dining options. Further Hampton by Hilton openings are scheduled for both Liverpool city centre and Derby.
