Tigerlily boutique hotel for Edinburgh
Montpeliers (Edinburgh) has announced the opening of a new boutique hotel called Tigerlily on Edinburgh’s George Street.
The restored five-floor, grade A-listed townhouse comprises 33 individually styled bedrooms – including two Georgian suites and seven mini suites – and a 200-cover restaurant, as well as two bars and a basement club called Lulu.
David Withers, managing director of Montpeliers, said: “Tigerlily has been created to stand out from the crowd. It’s glamorous and even a bit theatrical, but most of all it’s accessible and fun.
"Throughout the interior, the original Georgian features – which include high ceilings, oak panelling and ornate cornicing – have been blended with a contemporary design to create a lavish yet laid-back environment. The design compliments all that’s good about Edinburgh – it’s chic, cosmopolitan and historical.”
This is the seventh property in the company’s portfolio. Details: www.tigerlilyedinburgh.co.uk
