Tony Robbins teams up with rapper Pitbull to launch new boxing fitness brand
Self-styled life coach 'guru' Tony Robbins and American rapper Pitbull have partnered with entrepreneur Bill Zanker – founder of training company The Learning Annex – to launch a new boxing fitness chain.
Grit Bxng is set to open its first location in New York, US in June and its offer is based on a 50-minute signature method delivering HIIT group classes, with the "fundamentals of boxing at its core".
The 5,000sq ft club's interior will feature giant video screens and a light and sound system designed to make a workout feel like a night out.
Classes will take place in a three-module studio with treadmills, punching bags and benches.
The classes will combine music playlists curated by Pitbull and motivational content – featuring Robbins – beamed on giant video screens.
"My life is about working with people to change their bodies, change their relationships, and change their lives," Robbins said.
"Grit Bxng will provide a space and experience unlike any other."
Pitbull – whose real name is Armando Perez – added: "With each new project I approach, the words 'you can't' and 'no' are just motivators that propel me to succeed and fuel my fire.
"That mentality is exactly what Grit Bxng embodies to me."
