Following successful installs at five other leisure centres, SLM, which operates the Everyone Active brand in partnership with over 80 local authorities, has included two Total Gym GTS units at the newly redeveloped Aqua Vale Swimming and Fitness Centre in Aylesbury.

The units are being used to offer Gravity Personal Training and Team Training sessions and were installed as part of a £700,000 investment in the centre and nearby Swan Pool and Leisure Centre, which is also managed by Everyone Active on behalf of Aylesbury Vale District Council.

"Gravity Training is incredibly diverse and effective for all abilities and we’re confident it will be very popular at Aqua Vale Swimming and Fitness Centre," said Everyone Active regional fitness manager Matt Hague. "There has been a great reaction from instructors and members at other Everyone Active sites so we’re very proud to be offering such exciting fitness equipment to the people of Aylesbury."

Gravity sessions are appropriate for exercisers of all abilities and can be offered on the Total Gym equipment in a GroupX, small group, team training or PT environment.

Users can lie, sit or kneel on the moving glideboard and use their own bodyweight as resistance. The percentage of bodyweight being lifted can be adjusted in a matter of seconds between 1 per cent and 62 per cent to suit individual ability.

All muscles in the body can be targeted on the Total Gym with a library of over 200 exercises possible on the equipment.
