The new Learning and Skills initiative Train to Gain has been a huge success for Hospitality companies as well as with many other sectors.

The scheme has helped approximately 3,000 companies in the hospitality sector in London and the East of England identify their staff training needs and seek suitable available funding.

This allows companies on build on their business competitiveness and improve productivity by giving staff the skills that they need to do their job to the best of their ability.

The Costa Coffee franchise, Coffee Snobs Ltd is just one company who are expanding rapidly with the help of Train to Gain. Managing director Juliet McGuigan recognised that the recipe to the success of this growth and smooth running of the transitional operations was a skilled workforce: “I think training is very important when running a business because it improves staff retention and helps your business to succeed as you have a better skilled workforce.”

Juliet contacted Train to Gain who sent an impartial broker in to assess Coffee Snobs’ training needs. As a result of the broker visit, six members have taken up a Management Course and a further 15 studying for Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Certificate. In addition to this, there are eight team members studying for an NVQ in Retail. Train to Gain has helped Coffee Snobs expand as effectively as possible with very little cost at all to the company.

Train to Gain not only benefits your company but can make your staff feel more valued.

To contact Train to Gain please call: 0845 600 5025 or email: [email protected] to book a free appointment with an impartial Skills Broker to assess your training needs and locate available funded training.
